Our Mission & Vision
Our Mission
Sender Retreat Foundation Inc. is dedicated to providing adults, seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities access to high-quality Adult Day Care services. Our goal is to prevent unnecessary institutionalization and enhance the quality of life for our clients and their families. We offer long-term social, emotional, and behavioral care in a culturally respectful environment. We proudly serve underserved and low-income communities with compassion and commitment.
Our Vision
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Sender Retreat Foundation believes that all adults—regardless of age, background, or financial status—deserve access to consistent, dignified, and inclusive long-term care and support services.
Our Impact

Preserving Independence
Our supervised environment and specialized programs significantly reduce fall risks among seniors—a leading cause of surgeries, lengthy rehabilitation, and permanent loss of independence.

Reducing Healthcare Burdens
By providing preventative care and monitoring, we help decrease unnecessary emergency room visits, easing the strain on local healthcare systems and reducing costs.

Supporting Caregivers
Our services allow family caregivers to remain in the workforce while knowing their loved ones receive quality daytime care, preventing career disruption and financial hardship.
Why Our Work Matters: The Data Behind the Need
America faces a growing elder care challenge. By 2060, Americans 65+ will more than double to 98 million—nearly a quarter of our population. Though 90% of seniors wish to age in their homes, many can’t afford even minimal care on fixed incomes. (Population Reference Bureau).
Meanwhile, demand for home health aides is projected to surge 37% by 2028. This widening gap between care needs and affordable access creates an urgent situation for millions of families that our foundation works to address.
With your support, we can expand our impact and reach more families in need. Every contribution helps us continue our mission—your generosity is not just appreciated, it’s essential.
